Nammi, a very humble actress, died at the age of 88
The veteran actress died at a local hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday. She was 88 and had been ill for some time. Nammi was married to author Ali Raza who passed away in 2007. The actress’ last rites will be Thursday afternoon. Filmmaker Ashok Shekhar confirmed the news and said that she was in the hospital for a few days and was not well. Nammi worked in films from 1949 to 1965 and his names are Rains, Annan Khatola, Basant Bihar, My Beloved and Love and God.
Actress’s nephew Sameera Khan was contacted by a well-known daily and while talking about humidity, she said, “She had been in hospital and out for the last few years and was losing her memory which she has been missing. It would be her movie days. She would talk to us. ”
She added, “She was having trouble breathing and was taken to a hospital near her home. The last rites will be tomorrow.” We hope the actress is comfortable.
